Hi Richard,

Great to read that you recover that far, that you can be on the Big Show.

lemme remember i told you, we See us at 2024‘s Big Show.

So i‘m also absolutely looking forward to meet you.

Don‘t hesitate about the walker‘s help.

Btw. You can use the „Engine provided walker“ Wheelhorse.

Today is the one year anniversary of my stroke. I finished PT last week because my strength and balance readings have plateaued and Medicare will only continue to pay if there is continued improvement. I am doing nearly as much now as I could prior to the stroke, the only limitation is a lack of balance. Walking with a cane is doable but I am much safer and faster with the walker and it will be a part of my life from now on. Considering the debilitating affects some people suffer following a stroke I know that I am blessed to be doing so well.            God Is GOOD!

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Big Show in a few days.

As many of you know, mom had major surgery last November following a biopsy of liver gone wrong.  At 88, taking  her organs out looking for perforation of intestines not once but twice over a period of two days.  We really didn't expect her to live.  It took a fair amount of therapy to get her walking again with the aid of a walker.  Once she got back to assisted living, she continued using the walker. (Just like 90% of the others living there.)  I suggested she try to wean herself off of the walker and she has successfully done so.   She found that she was depending upon it and found herself quite unsteady for some time.  Now she is walking fine, back to driving her pickup and even going shopping.  Just a suggestion to try to wean away from walker.

Glad to hear your mother (Erma if I remember correctly) is doing so well. I am doing a bit of walking without the walker but having no feeling in my left leg and foot make ballance an issue. I know that my foot is on the ground but the part of my brain that controls balance isn't getting that message.

Hi Richard,

it was my luck that an „ maybe unused“ part of my brain takeover the most control of my Body except few muscles over night.

- maybe i didn‘t use my brain too often before ... 🤪 or maybe now ... 😂😂😂

Things need time to convalescent, that we must accept but it is absolutely incredibly what our Brain is able to handle.

We didn‘t use our complete potential, so there must be enough room to solve such issues, that is what i be shure.

We can learn every day some small lesson‘s, so there is enough potential even nerves find new connections.

If they be continousely trained hard, they can remember and finally takeover our losses.

it takes several Physio sessions and after they run out, i letme give some helpful exercices from my Physician.

I do it all day to improve my Body that often again until i got it in my memory as before.

At least i repeat the physician exercices so often, until my Brain was able to steer my muscles for the right Arm again

til i can use it nearly as before, even my memory gets better and better.

Who don‘t know me, he was not able to see any difference.

few minor problems will maybe stay for the rest of my life, but i do not accept this.

shure, i didn‘t stop smoking until now i reduce it but i didn‘t stop it - but i reduced lot of Stress i had before.

I be a fighter and so i fighting each day for my health to improve it.

Our Brain is a little Wonder imho and can solve much more issues than we can imagine.

It just depend how intensive we train it.

There is allway‘s an up and down like if we go into Mountains, but we never shall give up to reach our maximum.

Believe me, i had several day‘s i was close to give up, especially if i be on the down side and i was close to accept what‘s happen,

but than my inner voice screamed To me - stand up and fight - and so i do.

That sounds easy and was someday‘s an extrem hard fight and frustrating and it consumpts a lot of Energy.

There was day‘s

And with the help of God, we can solve much more things, than we can imagine.

Head up high and move forward my Friend.👍
