8 hp Kohler fuel pump

Recommended Posts

moe1965

I'm working on a 8 hp Kohler and Im Wonder if this pump is missing the arm or is it a vacume type pump. It was running fine but smoking  a little and I was taking off the breather to look in there and had to take off the fuel pump to do so .I just want to make sure nothing fell in my crankcase.

WHX??

:text-yeahthat:Kinda odd that a 8 had them ain't it?

Thought it was just 161s and below had them. 181s had the offset lever style?

Someday I'll get it figured out!

Apparently they had both. The K181 on my 854 was a vacuum. Same for one I worked on for a friend. :)

Trina has a 1966 and 1967 Kohler 8.

Both have vacuum pulse pumps like above.
