Pullstart 62,840 #26 Posted July 26, 2023 How’s things going Mr. Richard, now that you’ve been home a bit? I was just reading back on another thread and saw a comment from you in the past. It made me wonder how you’re doing and I decided to search for you. I never saw this post, so glad to hear from you!

Until today we had been concentrating on improving my ability to use the walker, this morning I left the walker behind and walked with one hand on the kitchen counter about ten feet then turned around and came back with the other hand on the counter. It was exhilarating and a bit frightening at the same time. My legs have lost a lot of strength and I have a lot of work to do before I will be walking but this was so encouraging. Tractorhead 9,064 #32 Posted July 31, 2023 Great news! yes, muscles quickly atrophy when not in use. It is important to practice a lot, but not to overexert yourself. 👍 4

BOB ELLISON 2,981 #35 Posted August 1, 2023 Richard I know exactly what you are going through. I layed in the hospital for 5 weeks and lost 30 lbs but a lot of that was muscle. The good news is it you will be fine if you keep doing the exercises they tell you to do. GOD bless you my friend 2
