Does anyone know how I can fix this? It's not leaking at the moment but it may start leaking soon. @19richie66 got any of those awesome metal GT-14 tanks for sale? If not, how much do you want to make me one? :banana-wrench:

Sure wish I could. 😞. You would be surprised though at how thick that tank is. You could fill in the cracks with plastic weld and sand it back down. A soldering iron with a flat tip and some good zip ties would do it.

I recently bought a $20 plastic welded from harbor fright.

One of the keys if figuring out what type of plastic it is.

I practiced on various pieces of scrap plastic. Cleaned plastic oil bottles of the "right color plastic" worked well.

I repaired a plastic tank for a Charger.  I found the "red plastic" measuring cup that came with some laundry product worked. It said HDPE on it .  it's not  the best, but it doesnt leak.

The plastic roods that came with the welded also worked on the tank, just not the right color.

And a Hood for a JD mower.

Looks like a better kit. The stainless steel mesh helps a lot for strength.
