Lee1977 6,656 #3 Posted July 14, 2023 I nearly ran over a group of gypsies Thursday morning. The only thing that savied them, they were in a construction area where they are grading both sides of a road at a new Interstate exit for a new shopping center. I saw a group of people in thr road, though they were putting a water or sewer line across the road. Did get a good look bussy changing lanes. The had some kind of wagon there was one guy in front steering the tongue with 6 or 8 behing pushing, some of them in back were women. They were with in a quarter mile of the Interstate. The area there on the East side is 70 or 80 higher then the Interstate. I had just come up a long hill, pop over and though what heck is this. They were covering the hole West lane. I was running 45 didn't get a good look, saw the top some kind of mulity colored plastic covering the women out at the center of the road and the man out front. Lee1977 6,656 #7 Posted July 15, 2023 There was a big accident with them at the Highway 52 exit in Salisbury about 20 years back. There was 4 cars or trucks and what ever they were elise they had, pull out doing about 25 in front of a tractor trailer. I'm just glad I didn't hit anybody.
