Is there a cross reference chart for the belts that I just cannot find? I need to replace the pto to transaxle belt for my 312-8 and cannot seem to find it.

@Craig-906  while you are in that zone , probably a good time to replace that , spring tensioned , idler pulley , typically , noisy rough running , tiny bearing causes that . also take the time to areosol lubricate ,make the rust run out of all related linkage movement areas , finish with a red grease for smooth operation , just a suggestion , pete

The document Ed linked shows my 93 (and other years) 416-8 takes a "107939," then below, where it lists lengths, it says, "use 93-9809." 

93-9809 is shown as 93-9809 83.5" HB (21/37 or about .656").

 

On the cross reference Joe posted, it says 107939 83.5" x .625" then a note says "HB use 93-9809."

Then for 93-9809 it says 83.5" .656" then the note just says "HB."

 

My 316-8 has a blue belt on it now. So, I think it would be good to get an Ag belt HA or HB. My guess is they changed the width of the belt to reduce inventory. But that's just a guess. Does anyone know if there is a specific use case for the wider belt, or if it is more desirable? 

 

As far as the clutch goes, it works. But after reading this thread, I noticed they have the brake for the PTO adjusted so it's always on  I'll adjust the brake before running it, but I fear the clutch won't work well. My list of things to attend to is slowly growing. But it still seems to be in overall good condition. After discovering this, I might get an oem belt if I can find one.
