BMW1 42 #1 Posted July 6, 2023 I am putting a Johnson Model 10 Midget Loader on a D200. I am using a 5-7 GPM pump. The pump indicates 7/8-14 for the pump ports. How big should the inside diameter of the suction hose be - line from hydraulic reservoir to pump? Thanks.

Handy Don 12,751 #3 Posted July 7, 2023 @wallfish? I’d say 1” and be sure to use 2-wire hose (not as flexible but it’ll resist collapse) and suitable fittings.
c-series don 9,149 #4 Posted July 7, 2023 After seeing @Handy Don’s hydraulic work and fabrication skills at the Big Show I’d definitely trust his advice!
wallfish 17,138 #5 Posted July 7, 2023 Yes, you always want the intake larger so the pump doesn't need to pull pressure in. Here's an old thread on one. You can see the intake hose is bigger
BMW1 42 #6 Posted July 7, 2023 Does anyone know where to get a replacement strainer. All the ones I found on the internet have the correct NPT thread size but the strainer is larger than the thread size.
