MOWER SPINDLE TREADS

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE THREAD SIZE AND PITCH FOR EACH END OF THE 17MM MOWE4R SPINDLE SHAFT?

TOP NUT AND BLADE NUT.

Top is 5/8-18 UNF Bottom is 3/4-16 UNF

At least that is what my 48" deck is.

and wrench sizes are in most cases but not always 50% larger than the thread diameter

5/8" diameter thread plus 50% = 5/8"+5/16" = 15/16" wrench size

3/4" diameter thread plus 50% = 3/4"+3/8" = 1-1/8" wrench size

Hmmm... holds true for a 3/8" or 1/2" thread, but not for 1/4" or 5/16" threads...

 

Kind of along the line of selecting the proper diameter tap drill for metric threads. Subtract the pitch from the major diameter, there you go. The tap drill for M6x1 is 5mm, and so on...
