High - low shift fork availability

Looking for Toro p# 116636-03 shift fork for 8 speed transaxle. Several sights listing as discontinued by Toro. Others that say they have stock do not.

Any help out there with a source ? Or is it going to turn into a fab your own job.

thanks

Get into our classified section and hit up a couple of our vendors like A-Z Tractor of K and B Wheel Horse. These guys have STUFF!

If you can't find one, sometimes they can be repaired.

Rebuilt a 5060 6 speed this last winter that had a broken fork. A-Z is where I got the majority of parts for that transmission.  Little harder to find but he had them.  Definitely check him out he normally has used and new parts.  So you have a little choice in price

N875ED from Ohio ordered one from TORO in Nov, 2019.  I'll bet hey still have them. $57 back then new.   TORO #7209.

Where did you get that part number  #3116636-03  ???

The #7209 is the shift fork number.  Maybe #3116636-03 is for all the hi/low shift parts together.  :confusion-confused:

Thanks  gwest.  Maybe some of the dealers don't know about the number change.  :eusa-think:

I have a set of forks from a 312-8. Would that work?

After striking out finding new I went for the repair. carefully removed the old plate to use as template. 1-14/" hole saw, 3/4" drill, piece of .125 steel ,some red dykem and some grinding and filing I have a working fork.

the steel was thicker then the original and I had to thin down the area where it fits the gear but maybe it it will be a little stronger. The old plate was bent pretty good but it is only 43 years old.

Transmission now back together and shifting feels good.Test drive in a couple more weeks.
