JPWH 6,033 #151 Posted June 27 This is going to be a two seater. The dash is for operator controls and steering on the left side so I need to come up with the dash extending to passenger side. I have an idea in mind but building it may be challenging. What ideas can your creative minds come up with?
953 nut 55,169 #152 Posted June 27 I have been planning to do a side by side 953 build and my plan for the dash was to use two 953 dash board units connected by a bridge. May make a fiberglass mold from a cast iron dash then make two of fiberglass and a fiberglass bridge. Probably easier than attempting to join two cast iron units. one for steering and the other could become a glovebox. 2
JPWH 6,033 #153 Posted June 28 I have the same ideal of using 2 dash units but the passenger side would be an ice cooler for beverages. The space between the two dashes maybe a beverage holder. 2

Room enough for two large beverages! 3 minutes ago, 19richie66 said: @19richie66 my pockets aren't deep enough. Just a plain Wheel Horse dump truck.Lol 1

JPWH 6,033 #161 Posted July 8 (edited) Good ideas fellas but all the light placement area will be removed as well as the lower flat area. That's why I bought a damaged unit. Will definitely be a custom front end and no damage to a good grill. Dash picture will be the actual dash width +/- 36" Edited July 8 by JPWH 1 1

JPWH 6,033 #163 Posted July 12 I have found a trailer to use for the dump bed. I think it will give the project the right look. Had my last Chemo today and have been released for shop time in 2 weeks! I also have an order in to A to Z for all the dash components an brake and clutch parts Stay tuned project to start in two weeks. I may get a mock up in about 10 days. 1 4

JPWH 6,033 #165 Posted July 21 I have started to wear in my path to the shop. I did pick up the trailer but it is too small and to vintage to cut up for a project. I gave it to my grandsons. I have been collecting metal and other parts. 3

JPWH 6,033 #173 Posted July 30 I now have 99% of the components I need for this build. Just waiting for the ok from my oncologist to start fabrication. My goal is to do as much as I can before surgery. I have the driver's dash components on order just waiting for A to Z to have time to fill my order. Not a big deal, I'm a long way off from needing them. Any irreversible modifications to any tractor parts during this build was damaged when I received it.(I don't cut up or modify good parts) 2
