peter lena 8,610 #10 Posted June 30, 2023 @eddiebunyan like those metal brackets , that metal to plastic set up , just steadily starts to , break apart . good spot to do an improvement on . also used that as the end ground improve ment point for engine related ground verifacation . basically , connecting from battery ground bolt , to and needed ground area . lights . ignition , etc . do not count on painted / rusty , cooling tins to hold a ground . once I started doing that , simply added it to all my stuff . your amperage gauge will also wake up , with better grounding . simple test improvement , is an alligator clip wire from battery ground bolt to related ground test spot . only a suggestion . pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ranger 1,750 #11 Posted June 30, 2023 (edited) My 312-8 had the same type lights, also Westwood GT’s, + some full size tractors used them for plow lights, I think? Single filament! 5-3/4” diameter.
