What are the chances of finding a decent set of original 1045 front tires?

  It’ll be tough, and they won’t be cheap. I think a few small Sears ride on tractors from the 60’s used them on the rear. Keep your eyes out for one of those machines on the cheap.

I have a W T Grants department store mower that looks almost identical to this Sears. My mower does have that exact same tire on which is the right tread pattern, but a much smaller tire. I need a square seat pan like this also.

I'm guessing the tire size is 16x6.50-8, the most common front tire size used for so many years. I have original wheels, just need the tires.

  That is the size that Tractor Data lists for the 1045.

The rear wheels and tires that are on this Electro 12 actually belong on the 1045. The 1045 is a one owner (previous to me), bought new, and the Electro 12 was purchased at a sale, but spent almost it's entire life with this same owner. They both need some TLC, but said to run and operate, just haven't been for a few years.

I think that is what it was ......or else just BigR. I don't remember. When I tried to log in last night, It said my current email wasn't correct. So I think that it was that long ago that my original account utilized an old email address that I no longer have in use. It probably would have been @suscom.net
