417A.

One of two. They'll be back for the other one later.

Certainly beats pushing it!

@ebinmaine  I noticed the tread on the front tires is reversed and was curious what the benefit of that on the front tires is?

With the fender removed the "hand push only" sticker wasn't there.  :teasing-signhere:

I did try to keep it low and slow as much as possible but I couldn't get up that hill without increasing speed.

AG tires are directional.

They are meant to be on the axle that does the driving.

There has been a fair amount of discussion over the years about which way to turn AG tires on an axle that is not powered.

Theory being that if you reverse them on a steer axle they bite better.

On Trina's Military Tribute tractor she has them going the traditional way to match the rears.

I decided to experiment on my own because my tractor is substantially heavier than hers.

I find that there is quite a bit of difference with my front tires reversed, in particular with a big chipper on the front.

I too will try that - AG's on the front of both - improved steering  while plowing , snowblowing. Might make it even better.....! :thumbs2:

I thought you were restoring those 417A's?  What happened?

Yes that's correct but not for us.

@JCM Jim was originally going to get one but he's got a full house already so they're both going to Steve.

Hate to pass on a 400 series, but both of those were very, very tired and by the looks and condition not very well taken care of by the original owner.  :twocents-02cents:   The thought was nice.
