I would like to tow logs with my Raider 10 - can anyone tell me what type of towing attachment I need please?

How big and how far?

Strap / chain will do the trick for short distances directly from the draw bar.

I've used my utility cart and strapped just the front in the cart and let them drag behind and dragged them out that way.

You can see in the back of this picture.

We actually stopped twitching logs because I don't like the dirt in my chainsaws but it fascinates me to see others do it.

Anything that will keep the front of the log from digging in to the dirt while you pull it.

For keeping them clean, you need a log arch, like in Ed’s post, that keeps the log from dragging in the dirt. Otherwise, any of the other suggestions can work.

Only short logs unless you have a double ended Arch.

Thank you all responders!

I'm new to the world of the Wheel Horse and this forum is fantastic.

One final question is this: what type of attachment do I need to use to hold the chain or rope in place?

If you have a regular tab style hitch you can just grab a bolt with an eyelet or use a clevis pin, either with a hairpin through the bottom or with a locking bar around it. Lots of things will work.

Have you decided what type of pulling mechanism to use?

Here's a simple hook I use on the drawbar with a strap or chain... couple bucks at Harbor Freight...
