SylvanLakeWH 25,547 #3 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) How big and how far? Strap / chain will do the trick for short distances directly from the draw bar. I've used my utility cart and strapped just the front in the cart and let them drag behind and dragged them out that way. You can see in the back of this picture. Achto 27,570 #5 Posted June 26, 2023 Anything that will keep the front of the log from digging in to the dirt while you pull it.
peter lena 8,620 #6 Posted June 26, 2023 @mrtortoise have a kids plastic snow slide ? combine that with a chain grab off your rear hitch ,also use your gearing to see how it moves / reacts to your intended idea. done a lot of that , NO WHEELIES ALLOWED ! stay safe , pete
Handy Don 12,216 #7 Posted June 26, 2023 For keeping them clean, you need a log arch, like in Ed’s post, that keeps the log from dragging in the dirt. Otherwise, any of the other suggestions can work.

mrtortoise 3 #9 Posted June 27, 2023 Thank you all responders! I'm new to the world of the Wheel Horse and this forum is fantastic. One final question is this: what type of attachment do I need to use to hold the chain or rope in place? P.

If you have a regular tab style hitch you can just grab a bolt with an eyelet or use a clevis pin, either with a hairpin through the bottom or with a locking bar around it. Lots of things will work.
