Hey Y’all,  I had this idea.  Please don’t be shy.  Got kids?  Have them join the fun.  I’ll have some sharpies laid out on this tractor.  Please sign it, write something, whatever.  RedSquare Handle, legal name, anything goes as long as it’s clean.  We lost two valuable members of the community this past year, @roadapples and @phil bowling.  Mr. Jay hauled this thing home for me last year to store it until this week.  If you’d like to write something about them, or the show, or whatever, please do.  My plan is to wet sand it a bit before the beginning, then clear the whole thing.

That is a wonderful idea! :handgestures-thumbupright:

Pics of finished product please!

Kevin, what's in the cup?  I know what it takes to make me want to do wheelies on a lawn and garden tractor :orcs-cheers:

Pretty good turn out on this one so far!  Show day today!  I hope for a full tractor!

I got it running yesterday after @BHunter’s buddy Stan suggested “a key” and I had the ignition switch flipped the wrong way!  Man, I love REC fuel!  It was 363 days since it had last run.  Miss Janie even signed Roadapples ❤️

People were reluctant at first, but thanks @rjg854 and @squonk for kicking the signings off!

And how many trips to the Bumps and Bruises thread we’d take?  It would be totally awesome @Jrblanke if we were neighbors!

Great to meet you too!  The tractors are always great, but chatting with all the friends is the best!

Wow, it’s been a while since an update on this one, I’ve since dubbed The Signature Horse!

I have swapped the rear tires… and with no air pressure they clear the rear fender.

And last year about this time, it was like Murphy’s law was punishing me.  It would only run with the hood open!  Come to find out, the kill switch was grounding to the hood latch rod.  All is well now.

It always shifted a little hard, and this winter I found it to not roll.  Water in the transmission, froze solid.

Last week, I drained the transmission for a few hours and refilled it.

I found some race car gear lube in the shop.  I have no idea how old it is, but I bet a Wheel Horse transmission will accept it just fine!
