RoubaixRider 52 #1 Posted June 19, 2023 Hello everyone, Back with a new membership name after many many years away. So, I just re-acquired my Wheel Horse C-160 Automatic that I sadly and regrettably sold back in 2017. I had kept the phone number of the gentleman that bought it, and we were able to make a deal and he was very happy to sell it back to me. So happy my girl is back in the garage with me. It is quite a wonderful tractor, one that I use regularly and when I purchased it from a friend, he had a massive file including all original documents, bill of sale, service documents and even the original manuals for the tractor and all its implements. It even had the original hanging tag from the showroom floor lol. It runs wonderfully, and I am entertaining the ideas about paint restoration. I’ve been looking at all of the valuable knowledge on the forum and I am so happy to be here again. I just replaced the seat as rats had completely devoured the other one during its time at my friends place, and I will be attaching the armrests from the original seat when I get home. I might add some tractor tread style tires to the front… I always love that look. I had custom built a beautiful box scraper for it which is in need of some tender loving care and a new paint job… And soon the tractor will be back to work. nylyon-(Admin) 7,479 #2 Posted June 19, 2023 Welcome (back) cool story, glad you were able to get it back. Speaking of which, you indicated that you may have been a previous member here. If you like, we can re-establish that account and merge the 2 together.
RoubaixRider 52 #3 Posted June 19, 2023 Hi! I think my original user name was CropDusterMan. Yes… Happy to be back. It’s funny, but as soon as I got a hold of the tractor again, the first thing I thought was about returning here. I love all the creative minds out there who appreciate these wonderful old tractors and keeping them alive. My friend Cameron, who I bought the tractor back from, Head needed a new air compressor for his shop… So I was able to find a wonderful high volume powerful tank/compressor system and we traded straight for the tractor.
ri702bill 8,967 #4 Posted June 19, 2023 The rear hub seems to be not flush with the axle....
RoubaixRider 52 #5 Posted June 19, 2023 Great Eye! I fixed this last week… I removed the wheel hubs off of the axle and cleaned up some rust and so forth and they slid on beautifully. I’m gradually going through some things on it that needed a little bit of attention,

There's a list many of us had a hand in creating that may help you run down through the things to look at.

I have all of the paperwork from the original owner too…original manuals, bill of sale, service records and even the sales price hanging tag.🤣 Best, Jason
