Handy Don 12,436 #5 Posted June 19, 2023 For what its worth, I discovered a week or so ago that McMaster-Carr sells square key stock in 12” lengths. 3/16” square was $1.25. As Don mentioned, 'soft" keystock is available in both square and rectangular styles if you wish to make your own. It is inexpensive and it comes zinc plated. Be aware that it comes slightly oversized by .001 or .002 and will require hand filing / fitting. Most large Hardware stores also carry the square variety.
