S416-8 325 #1 Posted June 18, 2023 (edited) I went to add the hitch to the 520 that I just picked up. The rear wheels are different they are a chrome wheel with spacers set behind them, will add pics later. The wheels on them still have the paper tags on them so they're about new. Really thinking that I would like to go back to the original wheels with the new Ags that I just bought. I would bring these to the show but trying to see what they are worth... From what I found they look like they should be worth about $400 with the new tires.. is that about right? Thanks Edited June 18, 2023 by S416-
JCM 9,523 #2 Posted June 18, 2023 Do you have a few pictures of those wheels or some info from the tags you could share ?
Sparky-(Admin) 21,489 #3 Posted June 18, 2023 You’ll need to post up pics and better info for any of us to help ya with value. Spacers make me think that the wheels are not original to a Wheel Horse. Chrome is not common on our wheels.
S416-8 325 #4 Posted June 18, 2023 Got them. I think the wheel are just not deep dish but could be wrong. Rubbers new Carlisle Turf Savers 23x20.5x12 and the spacers are in the pic.
S416-8 325 #5 Posted June 18, 2023 I’m looking for the WH deep dish rims so will bring these to the show as well
S416-8 325 #6 Posted June 18, 2023 Issue is is that I take the spacers out and the wheels rub on the top body panel. I want to be able to run ags in the summer and then turf with the chains in the winter and no way I could do chains without the spacers..
squonk 41,604 #7 Posted June 18, 2023 (edited) Raise the seat pan an inch. I had a 520 like that. Ditched the spacers. Edited June 18, 2023 by squonk
Rick3478 429 #8 Posted June 18, 2023 My woods beater runs 10.5" ag tires on Cub Cadet rims, but that leaves no room for chains. You probably want the deep rims that came on some of the 520's. As for value, I think $400 sounds a bit high and don't consider chrome to be practical for tractors.
Handy Don 12,568 #9 Posted June 18, 2023 The wheel in the picture isn’t chrome, it’s silver/gray paint, right? The spacers might be chromed. You might have 10.5 tires on 9.5 (or even 8.5?) wheels. This would have the rubber overhanging the rim on both sides and cause it to rub the inner fender. I think you might be looking for the 10.5” rear wheels (a.k.a. “deep dish”) that were on later 520s (that also had swept front axles).

kpinnc 12,743 #11 Posted June 18, 2023 Definitely not WH wheels. They have the valves on the outside. But otherwise look fine and won't matter unless you run wheel weights. A couple of my tractors have wheels like those.
lynnmor 7,361 #12 Posted June 18, 2023 The optional ag tires for a 520-H were 9.50 wide.
