Mike'sHorseBarn 3,026 #1 Posted June 15, 2023 What have I gotten myself into now? Always was a fan of ford farm tractors. I remember my grandfather had an 8N when I was a kid. My former bus driver when I was in school asked me if I wanted this since I liked to mess with old tractors. So he sold it to me for a price I couldn't say no to so I guess I'm messing with farm tractors now! I'll have to dig it out after the wheel horse show when I have some time. I did get it to run though, hydraulics didn't work, but. I'd say the pump lost prime from sitting. Also excuse my ugly mug in the pic! 7 4
oliver2-44 9,907 #2 Posted June 15, 2023 It’s red, has a loader, rear weights and chains, what’s not to love.
Crazy8 55 #3 Posted June 15, 2023 My gosh if I only had room for something like that! A full restoration on that would be a true labor of love. I have visions of the front end of that hood and grill gleaming with new paint! ENJOY! 1
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,513 #4 Posted June 15, 2023 For manuals and other literature, go here: https://www.ntractorclub.com/forums/manuals/manuals.htm The 601 Workmaster was the upgrade to the 600 series, which was an updated NAA (Jubilee). The 601 was introduced in 1957 and had a bit more horespower than the 600 it replaced. In reality, there were several models in the 601 line, depending on features. For parts, I suggest you go to https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/ or https://www.just8ns.com/ For more information: https://n-news.com/ Your 601 has the pie rear wheel weights, nice. I wish my 1957 Ford 640 had those. TRACTOR_2020_WEB2.pdf Change history '39-'64 Ford Tractors.pdf
