Achto 27,502 #1 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) I've been having issues with the fuel pump on one of my tractors. Found one on a C101 parts tractor that I have. I have not seen a Kohler pump that looks like this one before. The top section with the check valves is totally different. Wondering if any one else has seen this style of pump? It was made in the USA. I was planning on trying to rebuild this pump but unfortunately the check valve for the outlet side is too corroded to save. Plus I have no idea as to how to remove the valves to clean them anyway. Edited June 14, 2023 by Achto
squonk 41,017 #2 Posted June 14, 2023 Yes. I had the same pump on my C-160 and have seen that style on a few more.
Pullstart 62,761 #3 Posted June 14, 2023 Would air pressure from the in and out ports eject the stuck parts?
WHX?? 48,751 #4 Posted June 14, 2023 Remember how I said on just about any resto there is one little thing that crops up?!?! I had to give Dan both barrels for using a plastic pump when I have a couple of metal ones... Don't those little star pieces wiggle out to get at the check valves?
rjg854 11,345 #5 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Like Mike posted, I have that style on my 16hp Kohlers. When I rebuilt mine, I drove those out with a small socket. Edited June 14, 2023 by rjg854 add 1

oliver2-44 9,675 #7 Posted June 14, 2023 Seems like I've seen that style pump on some Kohler twins. You might look if your big D Betty has the same style. 1
