Nice.... I thought all 300 series had the smaller 6" front tires, the 400's had the 8"....

I bought it last week from original owner, 550 hrs with manuals and original bill of sell put new choke cable, air and oil Filters, spark plug, hood latches, belts and trans oil. Deck is not original to tractor and need gauge bar fixed ( bolt holes are egg shaped. Other than that deck is solid.

it has some brackets under it i need to take pics of and see if you guys know what they are for.

Awesome find!  That rig looks excellent and a great setup with the 14hp 8 speed.  Should be a great user for about chore.

Great looking tractor. I have a 416 - 8 and these big block Kohler's will do anything you ask of em!

The later 314/ 315-8 models that became the final "classic" models all had 8-inch fronts.

Only the 308/ 310/ and 312 models adhered to the rule for 6-inch fronts. Some 416-H models also had them.

Nice rig!
I have a similar machine with the Command 15 under the hood. Runs great and feels plenty powerful.

Ok, here are the two brackets on this machine. Anyone have any idea what they are for or if parts are missing

My thought is that the first picture is an effort to strengthen the F-plate. Never seen one done like that and the holes on the bottom of the flat stock beg to question, but possibly just what someone had in hand to use since it doesn't look like the holes have any wear like they've been used for anything :confusion-shrug:

Not sure exactly what you're looking at in the second pic but what I see is your rock shaft for lifting rear implements. The safety switch for the seat is taped up under there. I don't see much else...

Got the deck fixed and put back together with new rotating parts. Also cut and buffed the paint.
