looking for info on a "dumpcart" for a Suburban

Recommended Posts

My 8 years old grandson was at  A J's garden tractor jamboree back in May , and he saw a tractor set up with something like a Brinly BB-105 dumpcart.

So now he thinks that he needs a setup like that for his 1960/61 suburban,( and He knows who can build it for him) I would like to know if there was ever a set up like this for the suburban's?

I know that I can make something that will work But if I don't have to start at square 1 it would be a great help to me.

If WH made something like this what was it called? would like to see how it may have been hooked up? maybe to the slot hitch?

Thanks for any and all help.

draw bar, usually outside of the slot hitch.  They can be used in conjunction with each other, or separately.

A piece of bar stock about 5 inches long was used. 2 holes with one pinned into the slot hitch, the other for hitching the cart

An early WH cart would be easier to build since it's square. This shows the the slot hitch connection bar too.

Could also make one quick with a wheel barrow base... kinda round hoodie-ish.

Thanks for the info, he has a two wheel cart that I built long before his mother came into being , But now he wants to add to his tractor equipment list.

I 'am looking at  to use a 4 or 5 cf. wheelbarrow tray as the pan and then make up the rest from there, just wanted to see how WH may had done the mounting point if they had ever made one.

My wife and I got Emmett his little Red for him when he was 3 years old, he loves all things tractors and farming. He is coming by today to help me put a model 70 CC

Kohler K161 motor back together  and I know he will be asking me when I will have his new dump done?

once more thinks to all for the help

Try getting in touch with Smokin'Joe, he sells tractor and parts.  He may have a Wheel Horse trailer for sale.  He lives about 3 miles west of the A J's Jamboree show.  PM me and I will give you his phone number.

I have a dump trailer for sale.  It is not Wheel Horse, but it works with the slot hitch on your RJ.  If interested, I can put pictures in the PM.  I live in Elgin.  Joe and I used to go to that show before Covid.  :occasion-xmas:
