Wanting to replace this ugly muffler? Stack? Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Bought this a few week ago on here...you may have seen it advertised here.  Completely serviced and running/cutting great.  This muffler has to go.  What would you replace it with?

Nice looking C-160.  There are options from mild to wild… depending on your taste.

I prefer stacks when given the option for replacement, but they aren’t  for everyone.

You have a nice exhaust on it maybe you can sell it or swap it for a muffler you like. We need to know the engine specs to give you correct factory recommendations. Tractor Supply usually has selection of mufflers

Stacks look cool and all, but they can kinda hit you in the face with exhaust fumes more often than the low down factory setup.
The factory exhaust for yours would look like this one my C-105.

My B-80 has a similar one, very quiet 🤫 setup when it mated to a little Kohler 8.

This is the style I'd like to get.  Is there a part number or name?

Lots of people check out the Gravely and Cub Cadet mufflers for these engines because they are spec'd differently. You may need to get the additional hardware to mount the muffler to your engine. Also  parts vendors sell replacement mufflers for the  Kohler K series that should work. Check this one out at isavetractors:

For your machine I think this is it. If a new one was found it would be expensive I suspect. But a good condition used one should be easier to source.
