vjerry 5 #1 Posted June 2, 2023 I've owned a Raider 8 for 30 years and now I want to get the deck back working. The only thing it needs is a spindle belt but I am having trouble finding the correct size???? Also if anyone knows the pattern that the belt should be installed in, it would be helpful to know.

8ntruck 7,224 #3 Posted June 2, 2023 to the forum. Is there an ID tag somewhere on the deck? A model number and serial number would help. Failing that, could you post a picture of the deck? There are folks here on the forum that will be able to identify the deck and point you towards the proper belt.
c-series don 9,208 #5 Posted June 6, 2023 Looks like you’re missing the idler pulley and spring as well?
vjerry 5 #6 Posted June 6, 2023 I have both, they were removed for cleaning and the idler is being replaced with new. Still hoping someone can tell me the model number of the deck since I am missing the belt????

peter lena 8,950 #11 Posted June 22, 2023 @vjerry hope you plan on going thru that deck , in additition to having help and direction to get that back correctly , would also re grease every bearing involved , original grease fails due to heat / stress, a 550 + temp and polyurea lucas grease will make it a quiet reliable runner . green grease / marine grease . also re grease the new idler pulley , and related pto drive bearings . deck sets ups are a collective lead sled dragging drive , everything you do to make it move easily will pay off , in quiet running . good luck with it , pete
vjerry 5 #12 Posted June 23, 2023 Finally found the belt size. Unfortunately the deck does not have grease fittings on any of the spindles.
Marv 952 #13 Posted June 23, 2023 (edited) The spindle bearings are referred to as "water pump" bearings, part # 103119. Usually last a long time if you do not get "string" wrapped around the bottom of the shaft which ruins the seal. Marv PS: I have a new set of blades that fit that mower. Has new belts & tires Trying to decide if I want to sell it and buy a larger one? Edited July 14, 2023 by vjerry
