The Lamberts are like that and have a manual collar for free roll if you want to disconnect drive. This is closer pic of the two sides of the drive pully system. D_Mac 8,593 #10 Posted July 12, 2023 Didn't have a happy ending. When it was completed I had a nice Cub Cadet up for sale. A guy comes to look at the Cub and while test driving the Cub he smashed into 2 other tractors of mine. The Lambert being one of them. He t-boned it and almost drove it through my neighbors wooden fence before I ran over and killed the engine. Learned the hard way to not let anyone test drive anything. I'll post pics later. D_Mac 8,593 #11 Posted July 14, 2023 Photos as promised. I was able to repair the damage. The curbing on my driveway is what saved it from being smashed through the fence. After i repaired it i picked up a cool little dump cart and painted it to match. Sold the Lambert and the Homemade to the same guy. He got two one of a kinds. Miss them both. SMH , I just have to default back to "The More I know About People, The Less I Understand About People" Some days I want to go down to the end of my driveway, close the gates, lock them, and throw away the d__n key. How the heck does a person crash a little garden tractor into 2 other little garden tractors and do this kind of damage? D_Mac 8,593 #13 Posted July 14, 2023 (edited) The guy told me he plows the sidewalks for the city in the winter. It was a Cub Cadet he was interested in buying. He was test driving the Cub out in the street for a good 5mins. When he was finished he drove it down my driveway, He gets to the end of the driveway and insted of stopping, or steering left to go into my yard, he goes right. Parked in the driveway to the right was the Lambert and my homemade tractor. Hits the homemade and the homemade bounces backward and he continues on and t-bones the Lambert driving it to the curbing and the fence. Now the Cub is trying to drive over or push it through the fence and he is not doing a thing . I jump over and turned the key off. I yelled at him asking wtf are you doing? He says " im sorry i panic'd". He didnt buy the Cub gave me 70 bucks for damage on all 3 tractors. I wanted to smash him through the fence. It could have been worse . He could have been hurt or hit my truck, or caused more damage. Never let anyone test drive. Operate it for them. Let them load it up out on the street. Here are photos of the Cub and the Homemade. Wheel-N-It 2,968 #14 Posted July 14, 2023 I'm sorry you had that to happen. The very least the man could have done was to buy the Cub, and pay you a more than fair price for the other damages. Its nothing new, there's always been people in the world just like this guy, unfortunately there is more of them now. I'm happy to know it did not end any worse than it did.
