Another Landfill Score

Recommended Posts

This old mixer had single phase 2 hp electric motor which is now in my possession, I'm going to use the motor for a small hammer mill build to liberate the gold bonding wires found in integrated circuits removed from discarded electronics.

From another site recently acquired 130 computers.

Only possible failure would have been the fibre pinion gear that meshed with the large bull gear, both ran inside an oil bath and both gears were in excellent condition. If the meat grinder accessory was there I would have brought the whole mixer home.

I did remove the big cast iron hand cranked wheel. not sure why it caught my eye.

If this is a land fill, and not a scrap yard, are you able to scavenge this stuff for free or cheap?

From another site recently acquired 130 computers, the mother boards almost completely stripped of their hips and gold plated fingers. Its these small bits an pieces that will get fed into the hammer mill powered with the landfill electric motor.

From inside the chips silver, gold and palladium will be recovered.

A bad case of the gout has slowed me down a whole lot, if you've ever had it your would know that it's very painful.
