I’m tired of the bouncing deck belt and want to tighten things up a little. If you have a good picture and what you used, I’d appreciate it posting it here again. peter lena 8,589 #2 Posted May 17, 2023 @19richie66 go to the last related deck picture , you are looking horizontally into that added idler pulley , added that at about the middle of the unsupported belt run typically use a 3" flat idler pulley , drill one hole in deck so defluxion n is maybe 1" space pulley off deck , use elastic lock nut on top of pulley . you might also insure related spring pull is free and easily moving. done that to all my decks . also re greased the pulley with hi temp grease . those nail pullers , add a mechanical advantage , to pulley removal , just a solid smooth lift off. other questions? just ask , pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I just was wondering if anyone else had done it and had a top shot of it. Not a problem. I’ll figure it out as I have a spare deck laying there I can use for fitting. peter lena 8,589 #4 Posted May 17, 2023 @19richie66 great ! that spare fitting deck lets you experiment , most of the problems / issues , I have had , needed a spare trial zone , ironically its the consistent issues that turn out to be the fix . while you are in the area , and notice how things are saposed to function , thats what leads me to a change . always looking over things , those nail pullers sitting on top of the spindle mount bolts , right up against the shaft housing , make for solid easy , terrific mechanical advantage . even did my pto mule drive bearings , re grease , the solid quiet and smoothness., is what I like , good talking , pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
