Ed Kennell 38,130 #1 Posted May 16, 2023 (edited) A couple bucks are starting to push some bone. No new fawns yet. Check that doe on the left. She may be packing trip fawns. Edited May 16, 2023 by Ed Kennell 4
Ed Kennell 38,130 #2 Posted May 21, 2023 Lots of deer on the cam., but no fawns yet. That big doe on the left looks ready to deliver. 2
Pullstart 62,834 #3 Posted May 24, 2023 We did a 5k on a trains to trails road last weekend and there was a fawn about 35 yards off the trail all curled up at the base of a tree trunk. My guess is it still had no scent. It was quiet and all the runners and walkers were decent enough to observe from the pavement.
Ed Kennell 38,130 #4 Posted May 25, 2023 (edited) Still no fawns. What's this young guy up to? Some of you may remember this little piebald buck. He was a victim of a poacher in 2009. After the case was settled, I acquired the deer and did the full mount. I am preparing his story with pictures and will be returning him to the state park where he was born. He will be on display in the visitor center. Edited May 25, 2023 by Ed Kennell 1

Pullstart 62,834 #7 Posted June 3, 2023 Awesome! My uncle’s Moultrie cam has sent him some nubbies in velvet, fat and skinny does as well. Last night, I emptied and refilled the water tank out in the field and saw a few deers out in the back tree line looking mighty thirsty and curious. They have a self made water hole, where they have scraped a large hole in the ground. I had extra water once the tank was full, so I tossed some water in that too.
Ed Kennell 38,130 #8 Posted June 6, 2023 My walk to the trail cam required a slight detour. This guy was blocking the trail. Still no fawns on the cam.

Ed Kennell 38,130 #11 Posted June 7, 2023 Just now, Handy Don said: Black snake? Black Rat Snake is common to Pa. Good to have around for rodent control. They can reach 8 feet in length. This is a 5 foot youngster. I have seen him twice at the same area this week. After taking the picture, I moved him to a safer spot as the farmer was discing the field and was about to turn the horses right where he was laying.

rjg854 11,360 #15 Posted June 11, 2023 It was walking pretty good, no wobble at all. Mama was still licking at it yet. I didn't find that all that strange though.

peter lena 8,608 #22 Posted August 8, 2023 @Ed Kennell last time in misoula montana , going out for dinner , passed 2 fields , each of them were covered with deer , have to say at least 100 or more , shadows just starting on the fields . another neat regular site , was the sun setting side on bridges , over streams , was covered with barn swallow nests , dozens of them , very dense mud cups . while fishing , saw a water push coming toward me , thought , beaver / muskrat ? wrong , was about a 30+ inch brown trout , stood frozen , gave a tail swish and was gone under the barn swallow bridge , never forget montana , pete
