WheelHorse520H 708 #1 Posted May 16, 2023 (edited) I'm looking to start selling my 607, but I'm not sure what to list it for. Original paint/patina, rebuilt transmission (except it pops out of third gear from using that the most since the rebuild) predator repower, and no belt guard. Between what I paid and put into it I am about $350-400 into it, could I get this back? It runs and drives fine except for 3rd. UNLESS you have the original engine and any accessories, like a period correct good mower deck, 42 inch plow, etc to go with it. It NEEDS the belt guard, and the 4 speed will need to come apart - 3rd gear, case gasket, 4 seals, maybe a new shift boot, 2 qts of gear oil. That alone ties up about $175. wallfish 17,193 #4 Posted May 16, 2023 No belt guard and grinding the gears shifting is the reason it pops out of third. No simple easy fix for that except to change the gears out inside that trans. There weren't very many 607s sold because they were the low end 1967 model without electric start. Teccy engine and pull start only. That being said, rare doesn't always equal gold.
