414-8 snow thrower

Recommended Posts

DBrashear

I have 414-8. I found a 6 0100 6 30" snow thrower. Will this fit my tractor. I cannot find the manual for the snow thrower. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

It should fit.   Just be aware there are different tractor mounting kits for these older snow blowers.    It may attach via the front attach-o-matic or bolt to the frame with a long 3/8" bolt and two bushings.

Here’s a picture. I thought it was attach-o-matic but after looking closer at the picture it looks like it would bolt on. Thank you image.jpeg.749dee79ed112fe32c20170f0a670f48.jpeg

Yep, that would bolt to the two existing holes on the 414s frame.

If you get the blower, don't forget the flag.

@DBrashear , done a couple of those , in recovery ,drag / resistance / function , is the main problem .excellent picture reference , note the idler pulley frame , dry rusty movement areas ? how about those , wobbly , noisy belt Idlers? would also add a stronger pull tension spring , lucas red or green grease in / on every movement point .that #40 drive chain and sprocket , needs a specific chain lubricant , lube before and after every use , also adjust that chain , gat some silicone grease under that chute base , put a round knob on the end of shaft handle , 3/8 x 16 die nut , knob at h/w store ,  blowers spun up by hand when I  sold them , pete
