The room is reserved and I can hardly wait to get to the Big Show !! Things are finally beginning to settle down for me between work, home, and 60's muscle car stuff. I have only 325 calendar days left until retirement. (not that I'm counting or anything lol), so I went ahead and sent Kart a money order to become a Lifetime Supporter here at Red Square. I miss you guys, and need to be on the Forum more The Lifetime Supporter package is money well spent. I've already called Wallfish, I need to call you too. Well. trying to wrap up my last year of work. Was beginning to think I would never retire until I woke up one morning and realized I'd had enough of other people telling me what they thought I should do every day. So now I'm making plans to get out of the rat race and work drama. It feels good to have made this choice. After riding Harley's since I was 20 (without getting hurt too bad), I went through a season where within three months I had three close calls. Two of them were not my fault but the third one was, and the little voice in my head told me it was time to be on four wheels more and two wheels less. I went home, made two phone calls, sold my softail chopper, and the Electra Glide, bought a four wheeler, and didn't look back. I feel good about that choice too. I'm not dead or crippled, I've got some good stories to tell, and a couple of tattoos. That part of my life is behind me. What about you Jim? Retired myself about a year ago and never looked back. Should have quit wasting my money on wine, women & tractors & retired years ago. You are gonna love it. Life is much more enjoyable when you don't have to rush off to a salt mine in the AM. Still have the FLTK & chopped shovelhead but neither have seen the pavement in ages. On the fence to sell. We had a saying in the old days if ya ain't gonna ride it ... sell it! Yes hard to sell tho when one has been scootin since a youngster. Missus says I should stick to low speed tractors. Started a bromance with @Achto and his pals and they got me hooked on partying... err exhibiting at tractor shows. Sorry for turning your birthday thread into a family reunion Coach...
