36" RD..fit a 310-8?

Using a piece of string quick. Looks like roughly a 53” belt ?   Sound right

Used is fine. The roller on it has a shaft hole three times larger than it should be. This isn't going to be a full time mower.

Man that manual posted has me wondering.  I’m going to have to really look into the deck on mine.  It came with the 416 when I bought it and never really thought much about it.  Makes me wonder about how mine is set up.  53” isn’t near long enough.   Sorry man just ignore me I’m not too with it today

Over the past 30 years I've cut with the 36" SD and RD, both the 42" SD and RD and the 48". Of all of them I think the 36" RD has the best cut. Once you adjust it properly it you may not have to readjust it for years unless you hit something hard . Before buying my Z turn it was my go to grass cutter. Yes it takes longer than the 42's and 48's but that's just more ride time, every now and then I still cut with it when I need some "me time".

36" = less flexing, handles uneven ground better and handles better on and off. I still say the best cut is with an old 32" Gear drive deck if it aint' wore out.

I was skeptical of this, but have come to agree with you now that I’m running the 36” version. Except that it doesn’t mulch, it does better than my single-blade, 33” Snapper RER. That it’s riding on gage wheels lets it follow the ground better. Blade tip speed is slower, so keeping the blades sharp is important.

Where can I find two replacement bearings for the mule drive for my 310-8?

@Chuckracer probably a 6203( 3/4 ) 2RSC3 , bearings , on line or local auto parts , verify look over the bearings exact # , also when you take that apart  , lay it out as as it  was , spacers will screw you up if you don,t , like to use a large box wrench on the belt cover nut spot  on the tractor , while still in place , gives you easy mechanical advantage . another thing , those bearings will probably have wide ruber side shields , small thin edge putty knife carefull removeal , wipe ou and flush with carb cleaner . repacl with a HI TEMP GREASE .  like lucas green or red grease . that lubricant will not fail or make whyining noise while in use . just a start step in muel drive detailing . the easier that entire belt drive set up works the better off you are . pete
