ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #1 Posted May 7, 2023 We attended the 56th annual Oklahoma Steam and Gas Engine Show in Pawnee OK this weekend. One of the fun things about this show is the steam engine games and tractor games. Tasha participated in the garden tractor slow race Saturday afternoon and took second place with her C125. Gonna do some tuning on it before next year and we are gonna beat that pesky Deere pretty proud of her and her tractor though for a second place finish in an event that neither of them has ever participated in. 3 10 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Sadly no…I was in hopes that there would be…I saw maybe two or three that I didn’t recognize from years past, but not near the turnout I was hoping for. There was a nice looking Lawn Ranger for sale in the swap meet, spotted it when we were pulling in, by the time we got unloaded and set up it was already sold. I turned the idle speed down as low as is could get it to idle without stalling under a load, not sure how slow she was turning but definitely a SLOW idle, she was running in low range 1st gear and it was still just a tick faster than the 1st place finisher. Tire size may play a factor in it too…running 23x10.50-12 HiRuns on the back, which are 2” wider than the stock 8.50s, should be the same height but I have to wonder if the HiRuns are taller…looking at ours sitting next to a friends C101 with stock size tires on it ours has very little tire to fender clearance compared to hers. Pullstart 62,905 #9 Posted May 8, 2023 You know, watching the video, I’d keep the tires just the way they are. Maybe take some air out of them, but it looks great next to the Deere and that seemed to have about the same size tires. Pulley swap that rear. If it’s 6” go up to 8” and it’ll slow it down considerably. You might need some idler pulleys or belt guard modifications to keep the belt happy.
