ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #1 Posted May 2, 2023 It's that time of year again, the annual Oklahoma Steam and Gas Engine Show in Pawnee kicks off the summer show season for us. Coming up this weekend May 5-7, should be a good show this year as they were able to be able to host the Rumely Collectors Expo this year. I apologize for not getting this information out much sooner, but I only found out about it Saturday, but the feature garden tractor this year is our beloved Wheel Horse. Had I known this earlier I would have let everyone know well in advance, but we will definitely have our C125 there for the feature. Stay tuned for pics during and after the show. oliver2-44 9,750 #2 Posted May 2, 2023 I sure enjoyed last year @ClassicTractorProfessor but won't be making it this year. I gave it a pitch but she said swing and a miss. Maybe next year
OutdoorEnvy 1,522 #3 Posted May 2, 2023 I'm doubtful to go but haven't ruled it out completely. Daughter has a tournament this weekend and don't know exact times yet. So if it works out I may have a half day to swing by. Really hoping it does since Wheel Horse is the garden tractor spotlight. Should be more than usual I would think. I'll update this thread if I will make it out. Would be cool to meet some members in person.
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #4 Posted May 7, 2023 Just got home from Pawnee about a half hour ago, gonna rest a bit and then go through all my pictures and video from the weekend and get some posted for everyone to see. Was pretty disappointed in the Wheel Horse turnout this year, being the feature I figured there would be more there, saw a couple that I didn’t recognize from years past, and we had the C125 out, but for the most part it was the usual ones that are there every year.
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #5 Posted May 7, 2023 Start off with all of the Wheel Horses I was able to find at the show We will start with Tasha’s C125, taking it was a last minute decision upon finding out that Wheel Horse was the feature this year. It was buried clear back at the back of the barn…took me two hours to dig it out but I’m glad we took it, made the show a lot more enjoyable for her Here is her C125 with a very good friend’s C101 These are the only two that I did not recognize from years past, pretty disappointed there weren’t more, I know they aren’t as common around here as in some places but I was figuring on more of them showing up The rest are all show regulars
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #6 Posted May 7, 2023 Some pictures from Friday night…mostly gas tractors and some of the Rumelys that were there for the expo. I spent most of the day Friday in the tractor show area and most of Saturday in the engine show and swap meet area 2
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #7 Posted May 7, 2023 A few of my favorites My 1946 Farmall H. Still hard to believe how well this old tractor runs considering it was stuck when we got it. I do think that this winters project will be to get it in the shop and overhaul it, I noticed while waiting in line for the parade Saturday that the warmer she got the more she smoked Farmall B rat rod…this thing was just too cool An old Rumely truck Tasha with a pretty cool Farmall 656 we found, I was told there were only 25 of these built with LP fuel and a single front wheel And finally probably my all time favorite of this years show. This beautiful John Deere D belongs to one of our fellow Major County Historical Society members, and was restored by another fellow member and friend of mine, he finished it up just in time for it to make its debut at this show. If anyone wants to check out some of the restoration process you can see it over on Michael’s YouTube channel. https://youtube.com/@MichaelBarney58 1
