Mcolabella 1 #1 Posted April 30, 2023 Thanks for adding. New to the tractor world. Me and my son just picked up a 252 h for $60 needs some touch up, not sure how long its been sitting but sea foam and fresh gas and carb cleaning it fired right up, But will not move, wheels alway free spin, Looking underneath everything seems to moving as it should. Resivior has what appears to be trans fluid/power steering fluid (its red ish). Looking for a direction to go to see what could be wrong, and how remove the rear
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,090 #2 Posted April 30, 2023 Welcome to the forum. This link is to what we have for the 252-H that was sold for 2 years. There are 28 items on 2 pages. The hydro is an Eaton 7 https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?q=252-h&quick=1&type=downloads_file
953 nut 55,739 #3 Posted April 30, 2023 I have never owned this model but many hydro transmissions have a physical interlock that will prevent you from putting it ig gear if the parking brake is on. Take a look at this manual and hopefully it will get going.
WHX?? 49,143 #4 Posted April 30, 2023 Another thing to check is the tow valve. Ther might be a lever either under the seat or by the transmission that needs to be flipped. Not a 252 pro but do read the manuals provided. and all we ask is to include your boy on any trouble shooting efforts.
Ed Kennell 38,609 #5 Posted May 1, 2023 Check the key in the transmission input shaft. If the key is missing, the pulley may be turning but slipping on the shaft. There is no tow valve on the Eaton 7 transmissions. There is a lever to engage/disengage the drive belt.
