Bill D 1,920 #1 Posted April 24, 2023 Any one got any ideas on how to stop Eaton burps? I've got three Eaton's and they all burp. Making a mess on the shed floor.
JCM 9,141 #2 Posted April 24, 2023 I feel your pain. First time in over 20 years this has happened to 2 of 3 Eaton 1100 Hydros this past Winter ?

cleat 5,934 #4 Posted April 24, 2023 The dipstick handle is the vent. Make sure it is not plugged. Clearing the dipstick vents stopped all my oil burp issues. 1
Ed Kennell 38,159 #5 Posted April 24, 2023 None of my three 1100s burp. The one is sorta like me ....it needs a 5 minute warm-up before it can move.
rmaynard 15,436 #6 Posted April 24, 2023 My 416-H with Eaton 1100 has never burped. However, unlike @Ed Kennell mine moves immediately in all kinds of weather, unlike me. 2

On one of the Eatons I acquired, a PO had crushed the dipstick handle closed (I could see the tool marks) and I had to carefully pry it open again.
