That (very early) model didn’t come with a long handled angle lock release--ya gotta get under there and lift the spring-loaded pin!

In my opinion, that lowers its value compared to the later ones where you can stay seated and release the lock.

As I said earlier I used to have one of the ones with the handle but it was stolen.  Really want another.  Asking 300

It will definitely work. Only questions to you are: how often do you need to change the blade angle and how awkward for you to get off the tractor to do it?

Hahaha.  You sound like you know me.  Actually, I will be using it on my driveway primarily, so I don't think I will be doing a lot of angle changes.  For me, the tough part is putting it on the tractor and removing it

You will need a solid link instead of a chain for best results.

Ok. Deal is off. Couldn't work out a payment process. Thanks for all your input.  Most appreciated.

Thanks.  I didn't want to use zelle because there us no way to report seller or dispute anything.  You can with PayPal.

Appreciate your input

Turns out the seller was a scammer.  A previous victim warned me off.

The guy joined a wheelhorse selling site on Facebook.  Name used was Jordan Henderson

Every potential buyer that wanted to pay with Zelle never answered when I insisted on cash at pick up.

If you come across another, you can always use your feet as down pressure on those blades as well.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

If you or someone around you has Fab skills, I took some decent measurements and posted them a while back.

You could also consider using a different brand and making up the mount for a Wheel Horse.

Seems like 50% of the people are out to scam the other 50%.

Keep in mind the 5xi grader is easily modified to fit the C-Series and 300-400-500-Series tractors.

Allis-Chalmers/Simplicity blade. Twice as heavy as a WH one. All Iron. Simple to fab up to fit a horse.

I recently bought this one and it’s waiting its turn on the project list to get a mount fabbed up for my 854. I’ve seen some on CL for as low as $150.

This one is off an Allis Chalmers and has the then-optional footrests where you can easily apply down pressure to either or both ends of the blade while seated.

I do have to work out a way to manage the blade angle lock from the seat, though, since I’ll likely need pretty frequent angle changes :)

Nice and heavy huh Don? . Be sure to get the blade forward enough to allow angling. The first one of these I had worked great. The one I have now I went the easy way on the mount and it's too far back to angle but I hardly ever need to move the blade so I'm going to leave it.

Mike, I think Bruce still has that blade, and he won't let it go. I think it belongs back on the tractor it was on :handgestures-thumbupright:.
