Wayne0 444 #1 Posted April 20, 2023 I've got a 48" deck off a 520 on CL and someone wants to trade for a full cab and snow blade. My 520 is a dedicated snow machine with a 2 stage blower. I figure i can sell the blade, and keep the cab.. Good deal? I think so, but would like opinions Thanks..
Pullstart 62,814 #2 Posted April 20, 2023 Value is what you see it worth. The deck may have no value for use, but the cab may be worth gold. To me, I have little use for a deck and wouldn’t pay most asking prices for one… but see them sell for quite a bit, quite often.
Wayne0 444 #3 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) I guess the cab is worth it to me as it's a bi*ch to blow snow in the wind! I am an old f*ck and hate the cold now! Edited April 20, 2023 by Wayne0
c-series don 8,677 #4 Posted April 21, 2023 I’d get the cab, once you blow snow with a cab and get out warm and dry you’ll want to get back in and do some more! I do my neighbors driveways and they only live here in the summer! The two stage is one of my favorite implements. Oh and let’s not forget the cab!!
Ed Kennell 38,056 #5 Posted April 21, 2023 Everyone needs a warm cab on their snow machine. Just takes some longer to realize the fact. Get the cab.
squonk 41,041 #6 Posted April 21, 2023 I've had 2 cabs and have gotten rid of both of them. I can't see worth a hill of beans when the sun is out reflecting off of the snow with them.

I still remember the day I left his office after removing the eye patch after the cataract removal. Mrs.K was to be there to pick me up, but I could not find her 20yo dull gray Dodge Mini van in the parking lot. Then she blew the horn and I saw her in a bright shiny tan mini van. Get em off Mike....opened up a new bright world for me. And now I don't have to hurry home before the sun sets. Pardon the @Wayne0

He wants to take them off but Ins. won't pay unless they are a certain size or so I'm told Edited April 21, 2023 by squonk

BTW, I got the generic $1500 lens paid by ins. and they worked great. The custom lens was $3000 with me paying the extra $1500. This is per eye and I do have two eyes. The sky is bright blue now and not looking like brown air pollution.
