Placards/information sheets for show tractors?

Recommended Posts

For at least 2 or 3 years we've been thinking about printing and laminating information sheets for the tractors we bring to shows.

What do you folks put on those?

I don't always drink Wheel Horse at beer shows, but when I do, I ride Dos Equis...

I just print out the information on a sheet of paper and slide it into a sheet protector. The three holes are handy for fastening it to the tractor and the opening faces down to protect the paper from getting wet.

See alot of those at shows on big tractors Mike and was going to get one for the flame. They're nice and get the information you want to convey across. but somewhat plastically if that's a word.

Dan made one like his for Cindy for xmas.

Many of the shows we exibit at they hand out blank ones and you just fill in the info. They often have busines names of show sponsers on them. Nothing wrong with that either.

Maybe you'll have to make one for a certain tractor @Achto that might not be leaving Wisconsin...

Second thought maybe it will ... I tried stuffing curds down them battery holes followed with a wash of beer and the tractor still wouldn't go... :laughing-rolling:

We only go to one show a year til now.

This year we'll be at Owls Head as usual and also Zagray CT May 6th.

Owls Head is a non profit that does hand out their own info sheets but we'd like to have our own preprinted.

We've gotten MANY MANY inquiries on the tractors... Particularly Millie. Then when the folks find out the BBT did the work... Well.... More curiosity for sure.

Sounds like a personal problem... :ychain:

If that's the case then just what Richard or I does should suffice. Just make sure to mention that they are SUPPOSED to be RED... :ychain:

Bonus points for a double zinger in the same thread?

After you get done detailing it, a nice custom sign from @Achto would be fine... :D

Now about your battery charging techniques... were they fresh curds? :confusion-confused: Wasn't a light beer was it? :angry-tappingfoot:

The folks from The Badge Factory used to come to the big show, very nice people. That’s where I got mine from because I don’t have the talent that @Achto has! 👍🏻

This is what I used on my first show so far. Two laminated A3 sheets with some info on the build and a QR-code people can scan with their phone which leads to my Instagram profile (where I post progress of my build).

He's got more talent Don in his piggy toe then all of us put together!

Good idea on the QR code @sjoemie himself to your build or website or whatever :handgestures-thumbupright:.

Not an avid FBer but good idea if one is.

I make these for all of our tractors and engines, the ones for the tractors have strong magnets attached to the back of them that we can just stick somewhere on the machine, the Maytags all have their own plate that is permanently attached to the skid that the engine is mounted to.

DSCF0019.JPG.0126bb735f9c3d2e30e621c38233b1e7.JPGI have these. Printed and laminated by son-in-law. They're mounted on a hard board backing. The stands I made myself. They can be stuck in the ground or a heavy base.P1020826.JPG.0bc4306023941d8f95faa7f98cd43289.JPG

Folks I started a separate thread here:

Looking for a couple pics we could use for Trina and I to design our signs/placards.

Looking good Eric and Trina :handgestures-thumbupright:

Another thing you might want to consider, don't put too much info on it. It's waaayyy more fun talking with likeminded people how, what and why you've done with your machine than it is to read everything of an A4 sheet  :teasing-blah:
