Clay bar and WH paint

Has anyone ever used a blue clay bar on WH original paint?  I have a 315 that seems to have some over spray on it which is making it feel rough.

I have used the Maguire's clay bar on automotive paint with good results.

Micro polishing compound work great for taking care of that weird feel of overspray.....Go easy , its only original once !!

Best done by hand, not machine, Change the working side of the cloth often......

Any thing I do will be by hand. I don’t trust myself with a wheel

@grinchsr  done this on my 3 horses . never used a clay bar , found penetrating oil spray down and soak in , a day , then clean  cloth rub down till dry and do it again  , after that use a 6" electric palm buffer and cleaner wax , paint is very deep and clean . found oil soak , is the feed you want , pete

Since most of your machines aren't real old, I would polish with Griots.  That compound is almost foolproof, well suited for us amateurs because it is not aggressive at all.  With a cheap polisher and buffing pads you will be amazed how new the tractors will look.  I never use oil on paint since there is no way of knowing what that will do to the wax or paint.

I have not used a clay bar on a  but I have used it on many other paints. It should take off any over spray off with out damaging the original paint.

@lynnmor  most of the horses and related lawn tractors that I  have seen ,have probably never had any service or care of any kind. my oil reference started with my experience that it has on / under mower decks , also like a mild cutting recovery wax on a 6" electric palm buffer . that enhances the oiled paint . having said that my recent / last  horse recovery , has  " paint that is so bad , nothing breaks thru the faded grunge "  . so it will sell as is , with main object of operational function , its selling point . pete

We used it in the body shop to remove rail dust from cars that had been transported by rail. Little rusty overspray all over them. Works so well!!
