Zagray!!

Recommended Posts

Well folks I have to say I'm pretty excited...

Zagray CT Museum spring show is coming right up in just a few weeks on May 6th.

One of the things I enjoyed quite a lot my younger days was going to a show sale swap meet etc the day before it started and waking up right there on the grounds.

I haven't gotten around to doing that for about 20 years now.

I have wanted to go to this particular Museum since I found out about it a few years ago on Red Square.

If all goes according to plan we are going to head down on Friday the 5th and set up with a few things for sale. I'll post them in classifieds.

Who else might be going?

We should be pretty easy to find. Wheel Horse banner on a 10 ft pop-up. Not sure which tractors we are going to bring yet...

We are planning to be there early Friday morning depending on the weather situation. Probably will not be bringing any WH tractors. Because of the acreage and maintaining the trail system 12 months a year I do get plenty of seat time year round and would like to relax a bit at the show and just not have to deal with one. Besides how would I bring something back if I happen to find one I couldn't live without. I didn't just say that did I.  :hide:   We will be camping Friday and Saturday night.

I've been trying to decide which tractor of mine to bring.

Cinnamon Horse 1974 C160-8

Or

1975 C160 Automatic.

Any votes?

Either one would be fine. Would be cool to see the newly done 160. They don’t approve of tractors with mowing decks, and I know you don’t run a deck so that won’t be an issue.

Not sure which I’ll bring, sometimes it’s decided by which one’s start the night before

KARRRRAP !!!!!

Unfortunately I'm going to miss all you guys as I happen to have a family event down in the Poconos PA that weekend. Don't think I've missed a spring show in quite some time and now all you guys are coming for a visit.

You will definitely have a good time as Zags is always a good show plus no putting up with my BS.

I cast 1 vote for the 1975 C-160-A Port Clydesdale   :ROTF:   I would have done a before and after but have not been to Hiram in quite some time to capture an after. I learned that horse wordplay from you, you :occasion-clown:

Anyone planning on being there Sunday by chance? That is when I plan on going, that is if the weather is good. Lets hope :handgestures-fingerscrossed: cause I look forward to this show every year since I started going. I been going to the spring show the past 2 or 3 years now, its always fun when I go and there is always something unique to see. I unfortunately never go to the summer show because I'm always in PA for the big Chrysler car show, and the fall show the tractors and I are always at the local fair so the spring show is the only one I go to. Expect to see these there on the grounds or cruisin' around, I hope to meet some members there. Whoever goes, remember to post pictures. I will (if I remember)......

Bens vintage tractors

I’ll be there with around 8-10 tractors… this is looking like it’s gonna be the largest garden tractor showing at zagray.

Hard to say at this point.

Depends on lots of variables like weather, level of ambition, if there's more displays we wanted to see etc...

Hopefully we'll get to cross paths!

There is a chance I may be there. Hate to say but these usually get tons of rain… for that reason will be late decision.

We'll go if it's lighter rain.

Wind or downpours would keep us out.

We have a HUGE tent and two 10 x 10  straight wall pop-ups. Plenty of room under cover for us.

@stevebo

Do they allow/tolerate/encourage cruising around?

@JCM what about that ole black hood you have?

They do allow us to putt around..no high speed stuff or wheelies etc. Occasionally someone complains about us driving up/down the vendor aisles (I always take it slow and keep the RPMs low) but everywhere else is good to go.

That is the main reason I am not getting very excited at this point. Did some research on here regarding previous Zagray shows and you are correct @stevebo It would have to be nice weather predicted for us to head to the show. I had a conversation with Connor Bishop about cruising around the grounds and was told no tractors riding in the show Isles and flea market area. When I asked about going from our camping spot to the sand pits etc,I didn't get a verbal response. Very nice guy to talk to and a wealth of information.
