"You don't tug on Superman's cape,

You don't spit into the wind,

You don't ride your tractor in sandals,

and you don't mess around with Slim....."

I wore sandals on a tractor once. 2 years ago at the Steam Pageant when temps got close to 100°. When for a cruise and the space between my 1st. and 2nd peetie toes got sunburned! :angry-teeth:

I'd be more worried about the early 60's tractors with the PTO belt next to the foot stirrup.

Reminds me of an early ill fated attempt at Wheel Horse #2. Actually drove to Florida to see a c series that the owner swore "did not smoke".....Tractor was missing blower cover...took it for a test drive and the exposed flywheel promptly chewed a nasty hole in the running shoe on my left foot! Tractor smoked like a diesel engine....had some choice words for the owner...

Drove home with an empty trailer...lessons learned.

I once had a foot that was grinded

No sandals on Wheel Horse I finded

For pain did ensue

Causing painful red goo

Now in boots or in shoes I'm reminded
