Well I think they all are. I like those big blocks. Was always on my list but never bought one.I am almost done with two this year already. But being retired helps. 1

Drill a small hole on the case seam and use penetrant? Small hole is not a bad idea. Heat. Patience. Repeat. 1

Nice Brinly hitch.! Just noticed the front tires are on backwards too, something for the to do list.

I would suggest several 1/8" holes with a 1/4" top portion drilled half way down to act as a reservoir for penetrating oil of your choice. 2 2
ebinmaine 67,551 #30 Posted April 11, 2023 It would be a very good idea to get the set screws out of those hubs and start dropping penetrating oil in there as well. 1

Sailman 1,291 #39 Posted April 11, 2023 Great find! Having a C-160 Hydro and a 416-8 with Kohler engines I can say you will enjoy that machine! It'll do anything you need it to do. Good luck with getting it back "on the road". 2

953 nut 55,280 #41 Posted April 11, 2023 2 hours ago, Oldskool said: Is the hitch pin mild or hardened steel? It is a mild steel pin. If you have a large drill press and a long enough set of drill bits you could drill the pin out. I have made it a practice to cut the pin off flush with the transmission and remove the hitch/lift parts prior to attempting to drive the pin out. I then drill a shallow 1/2" hole to hold the punch in place so you don't have to center it with each hammer blow. Lowell @wheelhorseman sells new hitch pins at a reasonable price so it isn't worth trying to save one unless it cones out easily. 1 1

Pullstart 62,905 #49 Posted April 13, 2023 If it wasn’t mentioned about that pin, try grabbing it with a pipe wrench and some heat. Spinning it will break it free much easier than trying to drive it! 2

Tierods are rusted away. Just a quick chance over. I got yelled at for securing my C-160 with clothes line… 1
