Thanks. I thought I would never find one up in my neck of the woods.. It's going to be a fun little project.

Well I think they all are. I like those big blocks. Was always on my list but never bought one.I am almost done with two this year already. But being retired helps.

At some point I may have to get inside that transmission. What is the best way to free up the cross pin? Drill a small hole on the case seam and use penetrant?

Small hole is not a bad idea.

Heat. Patience. Repeat.

I wouldn't drill a hole in the seam, maybe on the left side in the middle as a last resort,  try penatrant & working it first.

Nice Brinly hitch.!

Just noticed the front tires are on backwards too, something for the to do list.

I would suggest several 1/8" holes with a 1/4" top portion drilled half way down to act as a reservoir for penetrating oil of your choice.

It would be a very good idea to get the set screws out of those hubs and start dropping penetrating oil in there as well.

Is the hitch pin mild or hardened steel?

Someone left these nifty little trailer balls bolted in the front end.

Must of had small trailers?

Great find! Having a C-160 Hydro and a 416-8 with Kohler engines I can say you will enjoy that machine! It'll do anything you need it to do. Good luck with getting it back "on the road".

It is a mild steel pin. If you have a large drill press and a long enough set of drill bits you could drill the pin out. I have made it a practice to cut the pin off flush with the transmission and remove the hitch/lift parts prior to attempting to drive the pin out. I then drill a shallow 1/2" hole to hold the punch in place so you don't have to center it with each hammer blow. Lowell @wheelhorseman sells new hitch pins at a reasonable price so it isn't  worth trying to save one unless it cones out easily.

I'm hoping to find out soon how hard/easy it will be

So how many Horse owners can say they had to scrap the underwear out of the engine before they could whirl it over?

About as long as it would take a small sloth to ride a unicycle backwards and right side down on a flat tire  3.7 nautical miles around the outside of the back 40 hectares ... Give or take 25 years and a pickle and pimento sandwich.

Thanks to @ebinmaine Eric I have some used tierods. Gonna tighten them up and install. At least I'll be able to steer it around.

If it wasn’t mentioned about that pin, try grabbing it with a pipe wrench and some heat.  Spinning it will break it free much easier than trying to drive it!

This just got air lifted, well lowered,  into my yard.

Traded my basket case Panzer T205 for it.

I'm thinking I made out ok.

@ebinmaine I can now join the C series crew lol.

The trans is free and shifts fine. The engine turns by hand,no carb.

The clutch spins, attach o magic pulley is froze. Tierods are rusted away. Just a quick chance over.

I got yelled at for securing my C-160 with clothes line…
