Pullstart 62,834 #1 Posted April 5, 2023 My big brother always teased me that I’m adopted. I think I found where I came from. I love the safety flip flops @elcamino/wheelhorse! 1

elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #3 Posted April 5, 2023 The other day I was watching a show about installing an ancient statue of a Pharaoh in Egypt. The workers were using I beams to hold the pieces together and to get it back in place in front of a temple. Any way a whole of bunch of workers running around during the install. Most in sandals, panned over to a guy in shorts and no shoes with a stick welder. Sparks flying and I thought of the flip flop kid. 3 1 1
lynnmor 7,305 #4 Posted April 5, 2023 It even gets better in Part II, the guy in his loose fitting pajamas is standing right next to open gears and a chain drive. Not many safety glasses or gloves. I worked for DuPont years ago, they were obsessed with safety and I did learn a lot, they would have condemned that shop in a minute.

Those rascals were amazing how they could tunnel building pharaohs tombs then set traps so the tombs couldn't be raided--even though that didn't stop thieves. The pyramids construction was interesting also. Even with modern day I-beams and (semi-modern) construction techniques they were challenged to reset the statue. Just think what the original builders could have done if they had Wheel Horse!!
