Racinbob 11,569 #26 Posted Wednesday at 03:21 PM I've always had issues with a very short throttle throw from idle to full on the 161's and 181's. This was my fix. 2

peter lena 9,021 #29 Posted Thursday at 01:20 PM @Retired Wrencher always look over a chronic issue on its INTENDED FUNCTION , usually very close in its setting , on my cable set ups , regularly add a LIGHT PULL TO CLOSE EXTENSION SPRING ? think about it , every time you engage the dash area , pull , move point , there is spring assist in its movement , to close . my experimental problem / functional control , was a step by step gain , initially , internal super lube oil . eliminated drag , spring pull to close , made it simple , smooth , easy . found a small piece of perforated , metal gave me a go to spring pull point . have the same set up on my 3 horses . the repetition of a problem , shows me the way . you can always paint an improvement RED , so it disappears , pete

peter lena 9,021 #31 Posted Friday at 01:29 PM @Retired Wrencher , found so many elimination fixes / changes that were , basically firming up and lubricating movement , its stupid easy , one of my favorites is the PTO lever engagement starting point / and related hand off areas . initial look see , to change , barely showes it , love a CHRONIC ISSUE , done more with washers , routing, lubrication and usually a spring added to enhance initial movement engagement , stop buzzing vibration , outer pto cone , clip lever connection buzzing / noisy set up , small extension spring , makes it all good , all of our units are different , yet basically the same idea . my mule drive is so smooth / easy in its function , and been that way for years , and the detailing that changed it , was washer / lubrication based , not going to get into a have to win deal , always look for , RELATED , OPPORTUNITES , thats how I see it , WHAT IF I TRIED THAT ? stay happy , pete
