You won't need to take it with you I just bought an air adjustable suspension kit. Made for a Harley but this should allow it to drop the seat for parking getting on and off. Then it will air up for riding it. Hope I can wire it so it's all automatic with the key start Edited April 9, 2023 by wallfish 4

I'd imagine a lot more people would actually take this one for a lap or lap or 2 compared to the 2 wheeler. Dick, I'll hold you cane to make sure you come back! That question was asked a couple weeks ago. Got to seer about a GPS so we can find our way back to where John is holding our cane for us. wallfish 16,994 #35 Posted April 19, 2023 So this should be something new. Adjustable air ride. Just quickly set it up temp to see how they work and get some inspiration ideas how to fit them. Might redesign some stuff to slam it low for park and then raise it to any comfort level for cruising. The spring coil overs I have are a little stiff but they look good and match the front, so we'll see how it goes. 2 3
Lee1977 6,657 #36 Posted April 19, 2023 If those old Geezers can't balance a two wheeler you better install a seat switch so it will stop when they fall off. 1 4

Hay, I resemble that remark! I can balance a two wheeler for at leas a second or two. John, If you speed it up too much my but may do something other than pucker.

More of a show cruiser so low end torque to get'r going and just enough top end speed to still make it a little fun on the back stretches. 2 1

wallfish 16,994 #42 Posted April 21, 2023 Found some places for the gas tank, battery and a bearing then made some mounting for them. Should be able to have the filler neck for the tank protrude up through the hood for easy quick filling. Unfortunately this stuff adds even more weight to the front but they gotta go somewhere. Added another steering shaft bearing on top to keep that shaft stiff and straight. 5
wallfish 16,994 #43 Posted April 22, 2023 Anyone ever try to shorten those slide type seat adjusters? Certainly not a common thing to do. Found an old set in the parts pile and spent 4-5 hours $%^&ing around with that thing today and still didn't get even 1 of the 2 slides done. 12-14 inches is just way too long for that style seat so I figured just change the stop locations for those rollers and bearings, cut the ends and Whola, a shorter slide. Not so much! Sure wish that time was spent on something more important or productive. 3

wallfish 16,994 #45 Posted June 5, 2023 Been making some progress. Went with a M18 starter that I didn't remember was on the shelf for the reverse. Floor boards will make it difficult to Flintstone it in reverse. The floor boards help to lower the look of it. Got the hood fab stuff mostly done but still need to build a front mount. Wiring all set. Engine runs nice and did take it for a test ride. It's getting pretty busy under the hood so probably gonna a pain to work on. Stuff is gonna need to be removed to work on other stuff. Still have lots of bracing to do and get the pedals figured out. 1 for brakes and 1 for the reverse belt. The handle bars will probably drop an inch or few 7 7

wallfish 16,994 #47 Posted June 5, 2023 6 hours ago, Handy Don said: Looks like it’ll go like crazy. 😁 Not so much by plan. It's "geared" so it should be maybe top out at about 10 MPH currently. Enough to be faster than your average tractor simply because it would be embarrassing to get passed by a B-80. When it's geared down like it is the torque converter doesn't get up to enough speed to change those variable pulleys very much. That's not to say it won't be geared different in the future because it probably will. Better to find any weak points and work out some of the kinks at 10 MPH than it is at 30 MPH. The setup with a jack shaft allows for plenty of adjustment by changing sprocket sizes. 4
