Crosley engine origins.. in sheet metal !!

Back in ‘82 I had a 1950 Crosley wagon with the cast iron block. Those engines certainly weren’t very big.

If I remember correctly the water pump is driven off the back of the generator on this engine.

Kind of like the GM Swing-and-a-miss method of the Tri-Five Chevys with the Power Steering pump off the back of the generator. Crank one of those to full lock on the steering and POP goes the coupler shaft!!

Certainly looks it - WAY better that the modern Ford V6's with the warer pump INSIDE the engine - WHAT were they thinking?????
