Thompson1276 256 #1 Posted March 18, 2023 Just had a idea and I decided to do it I put a HH100 Tecumseh big block on my 856 originally had a k181 8 horse small block kohler that I had laying around it popped wheelies in 3rd I have yet to get a belt the stores are closed till Monday but she runs and all with the larger front pulley being double the size I bet she’ll be a little bit quicker too I got a 6 speed transaxle I’m rebuilding now to put in it too to make a short frame hot rod in a way 5 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The larger engine pulley needed just a little clearancing of the front of the belt guard to work. She a had a 3 speed transmission. Top speed just over 10 MPH which is about 4 MPH faster than stock. 6 speed transmission won't make you faster but it'll be a handy worker with low range and Limited Slip Differential. The HH100 doesn't put out 12V and it isn't original to the tractor so we're swapping out the engine back to the Kohler 8 HP. All that's in the Military Tribute Tractor thread.
